To all New Milford Youth Softball families! Here is another great opportunity we are pleased to be able to offer our players! The league is beyond excited to have Coach Rob Farmer running a 6-week skill development clinic on Sundays at B Field. (We recognize that being outside puts us at the mercy of the weather. But being outside also allows us a little more freedom with numbers - and a lot more square footage - under the COVID-19 restrictions.)
Coach Rob Farmer, a proven student-athlete developer, exudes enthusiasm for the sport of fastpitch softball. He has spent close to two decades coaching, teaching, and advising players, with a primary focus on the development of infield/outfield fundamental execution in addition to an emphasis on the process of hitting. Farmer designed Fastpitch Diamond Sense Training (FDST) in 2006 to work with young players on the overwhelming process of proper execution of the game's fundamentals. Today he offers a wide range of individual coaching services to assist elementary through collegiate age student-athletes in effectively reaching their full potential for success. Farmer continues to grow and seek knowledge in the sport of fastpitch softball as noted by an array of certifications he holds which include: CT High School, CASCIAC, NFHS, ASA - ACE, Two - Star NFCC Master Coach, and he is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. These certifications ensure that training is executed in a consistent fashion and enhances a player's capability to thrive on the diamond.
